Where It All Began

Theosis Woodwork started with a simple wish - a beautiful cross for my daughter's nursery.

When she was born, I set out to find something worthy of the moment. What I found was disappointing: handmade options that were either far out of reach in price and poorly made, or mass-produced pieces with poor proportions and no soul. Nothing felt right for the space I was creating for her.

So I made one myself.

That first cross, made and designed with the proportions I couldn't find anywhere else, became the foundation of everything that followed. I realized others were likely facing the same search, and I wanted to help.

Since then, my work and skills have grown into many more artistic forms of woodworking. But that original cross remains. It still hangs in her bedroom. Others like it are still available in a selection of beautiful wood options for anyone who wants something handmade with intention - at a price that hopefully doesn't ask you to choose between quality and accessibility.

For those who want something more, I also create inlaid crosses that represent a different level of the craft entirely. The joinery, the material selection, the hours of careful work - these pieces demand more, and I hope the finished work makes that manifest. They are made primarily as objects of prayer, yet I hope they help showcase the natural beauty of wood, of creation.

Every piece that leaves my shop carries the same care I put into that very first one.
